The Practice Team At Aniwell Vets In Bournemouth

The practice requires a large team of people to keep it running smoothly and to ensure that our patients obtain the best of care. Four experienced Veterinary Surgeons are supported by nine nurses, four receptionists and Jane on admin. All members of staff are dedicated to improving the welfare of our patients and continued education and training ensures that we keep abreast of the latest developments in Veterinary care.

Hadyn qualified with honours from Liverpool in 1985. Initially he worked in mixed practice in Lincolnshire then Surrey to fufil his ambition of being a latter day James Herriot. From Surrey he moved to Alton in Hampshire and decided to concentrate on Small Animal Practice, so he moved to St Mary's Clinic in Ferndown. In 1995 he set up his own clinic in Kinson followed by the Alderney branch which opened in 2004.

Hadyn's particular interest is endoscopic surgery and keyhole spays, and hopes to develop this further in the coming years. Away from work he loves a variety of sports including paddle boarding and running with his two whippets Billy and Bertie.

Caroline qualified from Liverpool Univeristy in 2009 and spent the next five years in a mixed and small animal practice. At the moment, Caroline is studying for a certificate in internal medicine and enjoys receiving interesting cases.

When she isn't at work, Caroline likes to spend time with her friends and family exploring Dorset. She also likes to keep fit in her spare time and relax with her husband at home.


David Badger

David Studied at Bristol vet School where he graduated in 2005 with honours and was awarded the Harold Pearson prize for small animal surgery. Since then he has worked exclusively in Small Animal Practice for 12 years.

He has a keen interest in all areas of veterinary medicine and holds a general practitioner certificate in endoscopy and endo-surgery. He has also completed the post-graduate certificate and general practitioner certificate in small animal surgery.

In his spare time, David enjoys martial arts, motorsports, calisthenics and body weight training, hiking and hill walking. He also has a great fondness for the Lake District where he was born and likes to visit as often as possible.

David has a wild polecat called Pasty that he hand reared from 3 weeks old

Fran qualified from Madrid Vet School in 2015 and promptly started working at Animal Protection Centres in Madrid, his home town.

After a short period doing an internship in The Netherlands, Fran moved to Lapland, where he started working at the biggest Husky sledge dog centre in the world, and learnt about sport medicine, one of his favourite medical specialities.

Fran has been working at Aniwell since the beginning of 2017, He has adapted very quickly to Bournemouth's lifestyle, and declares himself the New Forest's number one fan, where he loves to go cycling and hiking in his spare time.
